Welcome to William Clark Studio
Dear Parents, Guardians, and Band Directors
My name is William Clark, I am a professional trombone player formerly with the South Bend Symphony Orchestra and Southwestern Michigan Symphony. I retired with long time service from both in the last two years. I have my music degree Western Michigan University in both music composition and trombone performance. I moved to this area in 1990 and taught 2 years at the University of Notre Dame as an Adjunct. I taught at IUSB for the next 15 years. In 2009 I had the opportunity to be a band director for the South Bend Community School Corporation. The position was to be for one semester. It turned into a two-year appointment. At the present moment I am on the faculty of Southwestern Michigan College in Dowagiac Michigan as lower brass instructor. I teach lower brass: trombone, baritone, and tuba. Also, I can accommodate a weekend lesson if there is no conflict with my schedule.
I have some openings for private teaching during the week for middle school and high school students. I instruct students at schools during band when it is allowed. I would love to share my knowledge of music and refine the personal skills for your child to attain success on their instrument as well for them to use those skills for future college programs. I have excellent references from former students and their parents. I do have references available upon request.
If you would like to call or email me, we can set up an introduction meeting or schedule lessons with your child. I do like text as I get a lot of calls from various places so to keep it professional, I do like texts with name of you and your child so that I can personally reach back out.
